30 years ago on 14th of July the International Convention on Salvage entered into force, defining the modern "No Cure, No Pay" and environmental protection standards we operate under today.
But at BOA Offshore, our commitment to preserving marine environments and saving assets goes back even further. For over 50 years, our teams have been answering the call in some of the most challenging waters on Earth:
- 1975: One of our earliest recorded rescues—refloating the grounded M/V Helcios in Trondheimsfjorden.
- 1991: The complex refloating and towing of the M/V Narvik vessel at Smørholmen, north of Lysøysund.
- 2008: Salvage of M/V Federal Kivalina near Kristiansund, during the unpredictable weather in the fall.
- 2025: Our swift lightering and refloating of the container vessel NCL Salten in Trondheims fjorden.
From small fishing vessels to massive container carriers and naval frigates, BOA has the specialized fleet, engineering expertise, and decades of experience to respond when emergency strikes.
