Following weeks of planning and preparation, the loading operation was successfully completed, with the crane featuring a 136-metre outreach securely positioned onboard our 152 m x 38 m semi-submersible heavy lift barge and towed to Monfalcone by the ASD tug ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐บ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐น.
The operation required close coordination between multiple parties both at Chioggia and Monfalcone, including tug operators, port pilots, mooring teams, the Harbour Master's Office, MWS, agents, and the project logistics teams. Simulations of the operations were also carried out at VEMARS, with support from CETENA S.p.A. - Centro per gli Studi di Tecnica Navale, in advance to ensure a safe and efficient execution.
