Boa Awarded new Contract for PGL

BOA awarded a major contract for Provence Grand Large (PGL) offshore wind pilot project

SBM Offshore has awarded BOA the load-out, shifting and float-off operations for all 3 floating foundations at the fabrication yard in Fos-sur-Mer, France. The scope of work includes engineering, project management and operation, and the operation will be performed with the semi submersible barge Boa Barge 36 (124×31,5m, 17500DWT) and assisting tugs.

The operations are expected to take place during the course of 2023.

The Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm will be located offshore Marseille, France and will consist of three 8 MW wind turbines installed on floating foundations designed and manufactured by SBM Offshore, SBM will perform the offshore installation too.

BOA are thankful for the award of this contract which follows BOA’s recent launching operations of the Tetraspar (Denmark) and DemoSATH (Spain) offshore floating wind pilot projects.
